Our main objective aims at understanding the role played by ING tumor suppressor proteins in lung carcinogenesis and to identify new pathways as potential therapeutic targets (Figure 3). We are conducting both basic research and translational studies.

Current Projects

  • 1) ING2 and SUMO1 in tumor suppressor pathways involved in the maintenance of genome stability
  • 2) Mechanisms responsible for ING2 loss or downregulation of expression in lung tumors
  • 3) Set up of lung cancer preclinical models
  • 4) Understanding tumor heterogeneity and genome stability in Small Cell Lung Carcinogenesis (SCLC)
